Winter Newsletter 2015

So the end of the year has arrived and all of us at Dart Sails and Covers would like to thank all of our customers for their support in 2015 and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

2015 has been a fantastic year for Dart Sails, it seems amazing but it has been one year now since Dominic and Sean took over the reigns and we have blown even our most optimistic expectations out of the water. This is down to the amazing support we have received by the staff especially Jamie and Simon but most importantly to our customers who have offered nothing but support and kind words. We appreciate it very much and thank you all.

We will be working between Christmas and New Year should you need us  but it is time to relax and party; so we hope Christmas brings you all a little Joy and thanks to you all for making 2015 such a wonderful year for Dart Sails and Covers

In our last news letter we announced that Dart Sails had ordered a brand new Long Arm sewing machine and here it is! This state of the art pneumatic machine is a Solent long-arm SKZ-I Offshore and has been sunk into our floor, this and a remarkable capacity under the arm of the machine, means Dart Sails are now capable of working on the very largest sails and awnings. Our new machine is the only machine in our area with a unique ‘Intelli Tension system’ which is an electro-pneumatic device using position signals from the motor to release the thread tension at programed positions in the individual stitch cycle; allowing greater tension to be applied to the tread improving tension and stitch appearance as well as performance. It has an extra heavy duty puller feed system with counter roller, aiding working with extra heavy sails. This remarkable machine can sew straight, traditional zig-zag and 3-step stitches making it the most versatile sewing machine in the industry. If it can be sewn – Dart Sails can now sew it!

Off course most of what we do is sails or covers for boats but we also design and manufacture architectural awnings and screens etc for both internal and external use. Beat the Spring Queue
So enjoy Christmas every one but just a thought – if you have not thought about your boat yet and have sails or covers for cleaning or repairs or even want new goods please don’t leave it to the Spring – we are flat out at the moment and the backlog only gets bigger as the spring looms nearer. We are currently working to 12 weeks for new canvas and 6-7 weeks for new sails at the moment and this will only get bigger as the Spring looms.

We have found some customers trying to contact us on an old and sadly now defunct email address.
