MEET THE TEAM

The team or should we say ‘Family’ at Dart Sails and Covers are a small but highly skilled team knowledgeable about all things sails and covers. Dart Sails and Covers was originally founded in Foss Street, Dartmouth by Don Campbell in 1980 building a small but successful local loft. In 1996 the sail loft and Peter Lucas Rigging below became a combined venture under the name of Calibra Marine. In 2006 Dart Sails and Covers was reborn under the directorship of Simon and Jane Unwin. Simon and Jane specialised in service and reliability offering honest advice and a high quality product – the same ethos that is still paramount today. In January 2015 Sean Semmens and Dominic Hanley joined the team increasing the capacity and skills set to manufacture high quality sails in house, while continuing to offer the same canvas facility that has been so popular and successful. Simon retired at the end of last year, and Laura has taken over in the office with the accounts and office management.
